Quality and Testing

At Fetch and Pounce, if we don’t love it, we don’t sell it!  First, we fall in love with the idea of an item, then we test it to see that it lives up to its promise, and only then do we add it to our product list.  It doesn’t matter if it's dog toys, a cat tree, dog clothing, a collar or leash or a pet carrier.  We test them all for appearance, durability and comfort.

You will find our review posted for each item.  Our head of quality is Boss…he’s not "The Boss" as we frequently have to remind him, but he is in charge of quality and testing.  Boss is an active, chewy three year old Boston Terrier.  He needs dog clothing and dog boots in the cold Canadian winter – he is a stylish little guy and is very selective as to what he will wear.  He likes to play with the big dogs and refuses to wear anything that may get him laughed at when he goes to the dog park.

Being an expert deconstructor, Boss sometimes calls on other dogs for testing assistance with soft toys.  His first choice for additional testing is Digger.  Digger is a sweet tempered four year old German Sheppard, Boss’ best friend and big brother by choice.  They have been best buddies since Boss was 2 months old.  Nearly three years later, they are still inseparable and always have each other’s back.  They play well, share toys and treats and with their different temperaments, offer unique perspectives on the value and appeal of dog toys, treats and accessories.

As helpful and energetic as Boss can be, he can only provide limited input when it comes to the cat toys and accessories.  For the quality testing of these items, we turn to our old friends Piper and Bailey.  Boss and the cats lived next door to each other and frequently played in the hallway.  Who said cats and dogs don’t mix?  Still friends, Piper and Bailey test the cat toys and cat accessories for Fetch and Pounce.  Being frequent travelers, Piper and Bailey also test the cat carriers for us.
