Harnesses

Harnesses are a great alternative to a collar.

They are stylish and comfortable. They evenly distribute force across your dog's chest and body. This relieves the stress that would otherwise, with a collar be strictly distributed on their neck.

Many pet owners with smaller dogs or strong pulling dogs prefer a harness. While these dogs may accept the traditional collar and leash, they may choke themselves - a collar only goes around a dog's neck and this directs all strain to that area. This can lead to breathing problems, gagging, vomiting, eye damage, larynx damage and even damage to the skin on their neck.

Switching to a harness will eliminate the neck pressure and allow them walk in comfort.

If your small dog is also an escape artist, harnesses make it nearly impossible for your dog to slip out and make their escape. Dogs, especially small breeds, have a tendency to wiggle their way out of a loose-fitting collar. However, a harness goes around your dogs torso, making it much more difficult to do so.
