ask the vet
Question:
Is it ok to give my pet human grade omega fatty acids? Will it help their heart health, skin and coat? How do you determine amount?
Answer:
I would suggest giving a veterinary approved product. The ratio of omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids is more appropriate and often times they are more palatable. Omega fatty acids have a number of benefits including helping skin conditions and kidney disease, acting as an anti-inflammatory. Many veterinary prescription diets are already incorporating omega fatty acids.
